The Doctor (his Tenth Regeneration,) was just catching his breath after the Dalek massacre.  Feet up, tea cup in hand, he was just relaxing as much as you can, in a TARDIS that's not your own.

After the atrocity that was meeting the newer regeneration of his counterpart, the Doctor needed something to take his mind off the experience. He stomped through the corridors until he came across Susan.

"What are you up to, my child?"

My Child. That felt rather good.

Tea with Barbara had been a helpful way of calming down after surviving the Daleks. Having properly cleaned up from the adventure, Susan began wandering about the TARDIS.
